Building professional football pathways into the A League, China, Korea and Europe
FMG Have been conducting Specialised football coaching tours to the UK and Europe and now Asia for over two decades.
What sets these programs apart from others is the pure technical football component. Thanks to established relationships FMG Focuses much of the tour time on high level in-house academy programs with major UK and European professional football academies rather than “Community Football Programs”, often seen in the UK, which are “associated” with well the known clubs but usually not attended by the professional club Youth Academy Coaches or teams.
In 2008 The FMG Football U13s Academy toured the UK and Germany and played the following Full Academy Teams (not community):-
- FMG 1 v 3 Everton FC
- FMG 1 v 0 Wigan Athletic FC
- FMG 4 v 2 FC Cologne
FMG tours are an excellent opportunity to be spotted by European scouts. Several of our players have been granted full scholarships at the FC Koln-Taxofit Academy.
FMG Tours now include Belgium due to an innovative association which has been established with a professional football club providing a new pathway for Australian players wishing to eventually embark on a combined football and University degree program ultimately leading to a European Passport. The Belgium route can also enable players 18 plus to pay to live and play in Belgium for one year on a working holiday visa. This is an incredible developmental opportunity.
